About Ricardo Armando Kaljouw

Welcome to My Website!
I’m Ricardo Armando Kaljouw, a Dutch alpinist who grew up below sea level, fueled by an insatiable drive to explore the world’s most extreme landscapes. My journey began with the Dutch Navy, where I discovered a passion for adventure and testing the limits of human endurance. Over the years, I have dedicated myself to climbing volcanoes and high-altitude peaks, embracing both the physical challenges and the awe-inspiring beauty of remote places.
I am proud to be the first person from the Benelux to complete the Volcanic Seven Summits, and I am currently pursuing the Volcanic Grandslam, aiming to be the first in the world to achieve this remarkable feat. Through this website, I share my expeditions, the obstacles I’ve overcome, and the thrill of venturing into some of the planet’s most isolated and extraordinary environments.
“Some mountains test your strength; volcanoes test your respect for the living earth.”
